GoMo requests AdBlock Plus come up numbers for mobile fans
trend towards greater transparency - faidaHere at GoMo Torres we'd like our readers to enjoy "both sides of the same coin". In other words, while we publish news directly aimed to help the growth of the advertising industry in mobile, we are your opinion delighted critics of the industry. But there is something that absolutely do not stand on the position of Adblock Plus, activists popup blockers. The organization said recently has seen download numbers of 2 million per week. In addition to September 2012 through December [2013] experienced growth discharge of (59.10 by). How many of those downloads were mobile, GoMo asked? They don't want to tell us.
"Unfortunately do not have figures for download specifically for Android phones," said a spokesman. What is curious.
GoMo News would normally make a good guess on Google Play and see approximately how many people have downloaded the application.
Except, of course, as we have reported here... 'Adblock Plus warns that 44% have heard of adblocking applications,' Google released AdBlock Plus app for Google Android Play. A strange decision.
So we can not check in Google Play, but Android users can download the application for Android directly from the website of AdBlock Plus. We've even published the QR code that can take the potential users directly to the correct download page.
This means that AdBlock Plus is known exactly how many Android users have downloaded your application because the vast majority has come from your own web site.
In April [2013] GoMo News review stats download Adblock Plus for Mozilla/Firefox here and informed that practically only one percent were Android users.
So we are beginning to see a pattern emerge. AdBlock Plus are not willing to admit that while desks are discharging their locking software - practice does not seem to be very common among users of mobile at all.
The Organization happily admits that growing advertising revenue - appointment, "Internet advertising half year hit an all-time high this year, registering $20.1 billion, according to the IAB."
But GoMo News would argue that a substantial part of that growth depends on the expansion of mobile advertising.
AdBlock Plus also cites the research of Adobe round saying, "0 percent of respondents preferred look an ad in an application and only 2 per cent and 3 per cent preferred ads in social networks and news sites, respectively, in comparison with other formats."
We can not see, however, how AdBlock Plus can be said, "ad fatigue could be responsible for the reaction of consumers in online advertising".
He argues that, "to the advertising industry it must respond to the juxtaposition of ads increase online and increasing the adblockers. The advertising industry must deal with the protest to make ads less intrusive".
Until Faida, co-founder, Adblock Plus, says, "enter in 2014, I foresee a general trend towards greater transparency for end users."
"Advertisers can continue to make money, but they will have to engage with their users aware of the tools they need to regain control of the Internet."
